Clyde and I had to laugh big time over a Facebook joke!  The seventies band America wrote a song called A Horse with no Name.  The guy is going through the desert on a horse with no name.  Someone on Facebook said that at any time during that desert trip the guy could have given the horse a name. Just saying!

Life with The Bird and Word Man – Clyde Kessler

I had such a bad experience with a sales representative over the phone that I had to call Clyde and tell him about it.  The woman I talked to kept spelling my name wrong but insisted she was spelling it correctly. She was also rude about a number of other things she asked me. 

I have had students on the verge of getting an “F” for a course speak in a politer manner to me and that is saying something these days.  One student put me through the ringer because she insisted the “C” she received was incorrect.  Her helicopter Dad called the president of the University to complain.  I have been happily retired for four years.

Anyway, at the beginning of the conversation I was given the option to fill out a survey about the service at the end of the call.  I declined but I will be sure to do that next time!

I really don’t like to sit and yesterday I joked about having the actual fear of sitting disorder called Cathisophobia.  We will eventually move and when we do I am going to see if we can’t have our computer up high so I can stand. 

I can stand all day in front of an easel but sitting wears me out.  I have to spend a lot of time promoting my work on the computer so it would be great if I could stand, click and type away!

We didn’t get to go swimming yesterday.  It really did look like rain and the prediction was 50% so we missed out.  The swimming area is closed after Memorial Day so I am planning to free myself from this computer and get there by myself in an hour or so.

The guys can’t do it this afternoon so I am solo.  Oh well, there is always next summer and lots of indoor swimming until then.

The mouse in the trap managed to get out when I was out of the kitchen!  It looked like it was asleep all morning and then gone in the afternoon!  Clyde was going to take it down to the river but now I doubt we will catch it.

I am not happy with this Have a Heart trap.  Maybe it should be Have a Way Out trap.  Anyway, Clyde said it was still all morning because it was meditating on how to get out.  Well, it found a way!  Rats!

For a long time now I have been working on my potassium levels and drinking more water.  I have been prone to horrible leg cramps at night that last a full ten minutes.  I am convinced the main reason I had so many cramps is because I didn’t get enough potassium.  I have corrected that and also drink a lot more water.

What I should never say is it has been a long time since I have had a leg cramp.  Every time I say that I get one.  I need to learn to keep quiet on this subject.
