Since I am a workaholic the day of the week does not matter that much to me but I find myself doing the Monday drag.

Just don’t want to get going but I know that will not last. I guess even workaholics should laze out sometime. I think I will do that.

Two days ago I received my new Canon camera since my old one has been “retired” so I can’t get help from their site.

Anyway, since everything is a computer these days and I am not good with computers I really don’t want to open that box- but I will soon.

I’ll bet there are instructions with words that are not in the camera. I’m sure people that are computer savvy can figure out which word they really want me to look for. Wish I were one of them.

I am going to have to get a new camera because according to the Canon site my camera has been retired so they can’t help me.

I can’t use it to upload files on my new computer and I need to do that a lot so time to get a new one.

Buying a new one is not the problem. Technology is changing so fast that I have a hard time keeping up. My phone is like a little animal that goes off with youtubes that I didn’t select.

Sometimes the Chrome button is on the front of the phone and other times I have to go into settings.

So my question is, what kind of cart wheels is this old lady going to have to do this time to learn another product of ever changing technology?

Hope it is not too difficult.

Our pastor was on break this Sunday and a great pastor that we have had fill in a number of times came and did a terrific job of leading the service.

He commented that he is so OCD that he wants to change the order of the letters to CDO so they are in alphabetical order.

We all laughed but when we went down for refreshments he took down the clock and set it for the correct time and as soon as there were some dirty dishes he was in the kitchen washing them.

I guess he was not kidding. Love him!

Hoping to get to a painting that I foolishly changed and change it back. Fortunately I have a file of what it used to look like.

I still can’t remember why I drastically changed part of it and then realized it was a mistake.

When are they done? That, for me, is the hardest part about painting. It took me many years to figure out how to let them live but sometimes I still mess up.

Anyway, my yoga class is cancelled so I think I can get to it.

Yesterday, as I was getting aggravated over my current painting that seemed to be working really well the day before yesterday, I thought about how paintings can be so ornery.  Of course, before throwing brushes around the room I remembered what I always say about how if it were easy, I wouldn’t do it.  It would be boring.

Anyway, the painting must have heard me because  it got right back on track after I was thinking about it.  It was a value problem and now I am confident I will get to the end and be mostly happy about it.  The next one will always be better.  That carrot will always be a little out of reach but most of them age so well.  Just have to leave it alone for a while and start another.

I am pleased to sell prints of  Blue Ridge Meadow  to a great Virginia patron!  This time the prints are on pillows.  It is great to think of my paintings on a sofa for everyone to see.

The ants are back and sipping away at the poison. Hope it works.  Now I have a new kitchen friend!  The last few days I have seen evidence of an intruder and today the Have a Heart mouse trap has a guest sleeping in.

This is our second mouse and I hope the last.  Clyde will take it to the river and set it out there.  I hope it is having a nice nap after scrambling all over my kitchen last night.  When it comes to pests our kitchen is the place to be!

Such a beautiful day!  We were going to the lake but that isn’t possible today so we are heading there tomorrow!  I love it when my guys come with me!  Not sure if there are any life guards at this time of the year but we just don’t swim in the deep water.  Now that I have pretty much sworn off swimming in the ocean due to all the shark attacks the lake is very important to me!  Pools are great but swimming in natural water is much more fun!

 Life with The Word and Bird Man – Clyde Kessler

Since Clyde and I don’t have a daughter we have never had to worry about boyfriends.  I’m sure that is a difficult phase of a parent’s life.  I know of one family that just didn’t allow dating at all.

Anyway I had to tell Clyde of the best advice a father ever gave his daughter’s boyfriend when she started dating him.  This was on my favorite family show, “The Middle”.  The father looked at him and said, “You do know I work in a quarry?”  The boy said yes and the father said,”With dynamite.”

Talk about the strongest warning ever!  Love it!

I sure do spend a lot of hours on this time saving device trying to figure out one thing and am usually unsuccessful.  Great machine but sometimes I wonder about the time saving part.  I want to add my website annotation to my Youtubes and according to Youtube my URL is not valid.

I have looked at a lot of discussions on the problem and am still not able to do this one thing.  Now I know why kids are majoring in Computer Science. They, of course, want to make a good living but how else are they going to use this machine without intense aggravation?  It certainly is a study all its own.

 Life with The Word and Bird Man – Clyde Kessler

Clyde and I try to eat well.  Ever since I found out about a friend’s friend who’s cancer is reversing itself without chemo we have switched to organic for almost every thing.  She just stopped eating foods with pesticides and her tumor is shrinking.

Still we have to have our staples and we both agree chocolate is one of the main ones.  I buy the organic chocolate but it just isn’t as good as Russel Stovers so we are just going to have to take our chances with that one!  Got to have this top notch staple!  LOL!
