Been lazy today. Well, lazy for a workaholic. Cleaned out part of my studio, decided on the composition for the next painting, did dishes and vacuumed the floors. Not bragging. I’m sure most people have done more today and I have lounged around quite a bit.
Not like Peg Bundy, but I have been watching a movie that I started yesterday. Time to get it together and get my computer work done. Banking and supper is next.

I am very concerned about our environmental problems. I don’t think ocean’s temperature is rising or the polar ice caps are melting because it is just time for that to happen. I think we contribute to this problem with the amount of carbon dioxide we are pumping into the air. I realize there are many people that think climate change is a hoax but I don’t agree.
I am also concerned about all the plastic materials that are not being recycled and ending up in the ocean. Yesterday I saw a post about the use of recycled plastic in roads in India and I was so pleased to see that. I shared the information and someone said it was a bad idea. The person said it was a environmental microplastic generator. I don’t get into debates on Facebook but I do look up issues to see what is a reasonable conclusion. I found many articles that support the use of plastic for roads. These articles carefully back up their position so I think the announcement about these roads is a good one.
There are those that think the heating of the plastic can cause problems. Here is a section of an article that explains how that is not the case.
To environmentalists who believe that the technology could be harmful because of toxic fumes from plastic residue, Dr Vasudevan points out that the plastic used is softened at 170C. “Plastic decomposes to release toxic fumes only if it is heated at temperatures above 270C (518F). So there is no question of toxic gases being released,” he says. Since plastic coats the stone and interacts with the hot bitumen, it’s properties change and it doesn’t break down when exposed to light and heat.

Thursdays are difficult. Yoga in the morning and Dance Class in the afternoon. I don’t really like Yoga but it sure likes me. I do like Line Dancing and will be real glad when the new class starts in Radford so I don’t have to travel to Blacksburg. I need to get the next file of my latest commission to the patron soon. He was hoping I could finish the painting before Christmas, but that is unlikely due to the drying time of each layer. Anyway, time to get this published and get to class.

I am still having trouble with an itchy back. It doesn’t matter how warm or cold the weather is there is one spot that itches all the time. The dermatologist said the skin was dry there and that might be the problem. Well, lotion doesn’t help.
I asked Clyde why does this one spot itch all the time? He said it is because you can’t reach it and your back is laughing at you. But I have a back scratcher and I rake it every night. Yes, but you can’t carry that around with you all the time so your back has the last laugh.
Argh!

We decided to get a separation and some dude found me an apartment to live in but he assumed I wanted him to live there, too! I sent him packing and then I woke up.
Wishful thinking?
No, I said it was a nightmare you boob!

The secretary says she is looking for my replacement and then I will just be a sub. Hallelujah! I love to play the piano but the stage fright is awful. Today I only shook part of the time. Great improvement! Anyway, I am working on a Skyline Beauty Commission. The studio is where I belong.

More computer woes. Now I see why there is a commercial on T V with a kid imitating his grandmother with a hammer that he is going to use on the computer. The grandmother says there is a better way. Sometimes I don’t think so.
Our new anti-virus protection is blocking Clyde from putting his bird research on ebirds at Cornell University. He said with all the aggravation we are having with this protection software we would probably do better to get the Mafia to stand over our computer.
Contrary to what kids said to me, the former Kendall Feriozi, I do not have connections with the Mafia.

When I was teaching at Radford University I had some night classes so on Mondays we ordered Pizza and Tuesdays we got Chinese take out. For some reason we still do that. The habit took hold and didn’t let go.
I love broccoli and almost always order chicken and broccoli. Yesterday I was wondering why I hardly ever ordered shrimp and broccoli, so I ordered it.
Later, as I was downing one drink after the next I remembered why and mentioned to Clyde that I don’t order it often because it is the saltiest dish there.
He said that is because the shrimp bring the ocean with them.

I am so pleased with our new mouse! It zooms all over the screen, clicking everything in sight and it works for half the pay of the old one – just one battery! Also, so far it has not lost the signal once!
I told Clyde I am going to name it Zippy the Wonder Mouse. He said that was a good name since it is a wonder that it works. The old rat certainly didn’t.
That’s for sure! So glad we chucked that one! Actually, we still have it. Where is the recycle burial ground for computer mice?
I am having a problem with the gear shift in my old car. I had to travel a little further than usual and didn’t have any trouble with it so, of course, I forgot about the problem and made two stops I didn’t need to make on the way home. It was fine at the first stop but acted up at the second stop.
It took a while, but finally I was able to shift into drive. As my Dad always said, “Pay attention”. I am such a drifter off type of person. Anyway, I am home safe and sound.

Clyde likes to listen to Blues music. Oftentimes he will listen to a station on TV that just has the music with some background on the artists.
I brush and floss my teeth all day long. That is, of course, an exaggeration but when my dental hygienist said I had heavy build up even though I brushed three times a day and flossed at night I decided to work harder at keeping my teeth clean. I even have a kit in my purse.
I told Clyde I should write a Teeth Brushing Blues song. He had some good ideas for lyrics.
I got the teeth brushing blues. I brush my teeth all day long. I am running out of floss, my fingers are tired, and my teeth and gums are now blue, too! Oh my!

I have been watching a great documentary that is proof of the old saying that truth is stranger than fiction. The Wolf Pack is about a family with seven kids in lower East side New York that were not permitted friends or access to the outside world. They were home schooled by their mother and their father was the only one that left the apartment for necessities. The children were only let out on highly supervised visits to the doctor or the dentist. One year they did not leave the apartment at all. The kids watched movies and after a while decided to act the movies out with costumes that they made. Great documentary! I highly recommend it.
