Finished my Memphis Skyline Beauty commission and the patron has thanked me over and over again! Commissions are tricky but I have never had a complaint, knock on wood! Since it is a commission I will have to ask her permission to sell prints. Hope so! I am pleased with how it turned out and I would love to add it to my website!

I seem to be doing better on the church piano as it gets worse. Now there are two c sharps that I have to hit with a hammer to get them to play. A lot of keys in the treble stick a little. They play, but not evenly.
The church is thinking about scrapping this piano and buying a new one! I hope that happens. It is bad enough having real bad stage fright without having to play on an instrument with an uneven keyboard.

Last time I mentioned that Clyde was complaining he was cold since he lost his fat layer. Now he says his ex-fat is mad at him and is waiting to take over again with a vengeance! Get rid of the low-cal popcorn and bring on the fritos!
He is just joking. Actually he is very glad to lose the excess weight and wishes he did it sooner. That is not just his crazy calorie counting wife talking. He really is glad but he does miss the warmth of the blubber layer.

Got away from the computer today and now I have to catch up. Don’t have much to say. My commission is coming along and I finished the other paintings. Below is one that I added to my website.
Another painting from my Suggestion series. This one is really wild. Looked like a creek overflowing its banks into the woods. Check it out!

Still working on my latest commission and two other paintings I started before I received the commission. Always paint in a lot of layers going from thin to thick paint. I think a lot of people don’t realize that a painting is rarely done in one layer. Lot of time goes into each one. Better get back to it.
Cheers from my studio!

There is one constant on our street that is annoying. We have to look out for big rocks that are usually right in the middle of the street. I think some of the kids think they will make great bases when they play baseball or kickball or whatever.
Clyde agrees. He said rocks don’t walk out to the middle of a road and park themselves. They had help getting there.

I am real pleased to sell another print of James on the River to a great VA patron! This is my most popular Skyline painting and I am glad a great Richmond patron owns the original!
I did a lot better on the piano today at church and there is hope on the horizon.
The secretary says she is looking for my replacement and then I will just be a sub. Hallelujah! I love to play the piano but the stage fright is awful. Today I only shook part of the time. Great improvement! Anyway, I am working on a Skyline Beauty Commission. The studio is where I belong.
Not on stage.

More computer woes. Now I see why there is a commercial on T V with a kid imitating his grandmother with a hammer that he is going to use on the computer. The grandmother says there is a better way. Sometimes I don’t think so.
Our new anti-virus protection is blocking Clyde from putting his bird research on ebirds at Cornell University. He said with all the aggravation we are having with this protection software we would probably do better to get the Mafia to stand over our computer.
Contrary to what kids said to me, the former Kendall Feriozi, I do not have connections with the Mafia.

Well, we aren’t snowed in today. We did get to the store yesterday but it was a creepy crawly ride. Roads look good today and that is great since I need to get out and check on some stretched canvases. A patron wants a commission but she would rather not have a frame. She doesn’t want a large painting so I am going to see what sizes are available here. I don’t want to have to wait for an order. Time to get going.

We were snowed in yesterday but the main roads looked good enough in the afternoon for us to get to the store. While I was making out the list I checked on the nut supply. Clyde eats a lot of peanuts. We had plenty. I said to Clyde we have lots of nuts from the store and nuts all over the house.
Tell me something I don’t know.

I am finally back to some Skyline Beauty paintings and I am real pleased with the first stage of a Memphis TN one! I am too rushed today to get it on my site but it will be there soon! Time to move on to the next chore and then Line Dance!

More discussions on the computer takeover. Clyde’s car pulled a computer problem and that got us talking about cars that drive themselves. Not for it. Clyde said what if someone hacks your car and drives you backwards down the interstate! Yikes!

I am pleased to sell a large print of Pawleys Island Sunrise in the Sand to a Utah patron! The original is owned by a Virginia patron and it is one of my favorite shore paintings! I love Pawleys Island and hope to go there again soon! I love the mountains but the shore is my second favorite place to be!

We are still without a good supply of hot water. The main part of our solar system is not fixed so we just have a very small water tank on top that we get a little hot water from. If we had the new solar system that does not go through water we would most likely have the system fixed and could take a bath instead of a one minute shower.
I said to Clyde that it is rough when you have an antiquated system.
He said like me?
Ha ha.
Talking about our solar system and if you are antiquated then so am I.

I am so pleased that my Line Dancing teacher has started class again! She has been very ill with Lyme disease and is still on pain medication but we are back on the floor! I love to dance and it is great exercise. She always gives us quite a work out! Looking forward to taking class every week!

Tuesday there were about 30 vultures at the end of our street picking through trash. I told Clyde about it and asked he is had a funny about vultures for my blog. He has been asked to speak for the vultures since people want to send them away. They are firing rockets to try to get them to leave. Where are they supposed to go?
Clyde hates to get in the middle of this because people that support the vultures become his good friend and those that don’t become his enemy. There is no middle ground. So he said he could not come up with a funny.
Vulture humor doesn’t fly with me. He did it anyway!
Also saw a cute vulture joke. Keep calm and carrion. I hope we can carrion here and not send them packing.

I can’t believe I am starting a new series of nightmares. I wish I did not remember my dreams so vividly. I don’t think I will ever stop having nightmares about teaching despite the fact that I did well and received great evaluations- but now I am having nightmares about playing the piano at church.
I guess I have these dreams because I have very bad stage fright or I am just nuts. That’s okay. I will keep on playing. Our former organist said after a while you just play and the stage fright goes away. Hope so! Now back to my studio where no one sees me paint! Yes!!!!

Clyde is a fan of The X Files. I never could get interested in it. The other day I asked Clyde if he thought there really might be some aliens on earth.
Sure, every time I look into the mirror.
Ha ha.
Actually, no. If there were aliens on earth they would either leave or use some bug spray on us.
I hope they leave.
