Still plugging along but things are a little rough right now. My husband has two hernias and the operation is early February.

He is a very active guy and great about helping me with housework but he can’t do much right now so I am getting worn out with all my activities and the housework. Oh well, we do what we have to do and keep smiling.

My computer is driving me nuts. It takes at least seven hours to upload a fifteen minute youtube. We have cleaned out the cache. It is time to get a new one. I hate getting new computers. What a mess.

I need to get back to an oil painting which I am determined to do soon. So many other obligations.

Like Aunt Bea said to Otis one time when she was his warden, “Get to it!”

Well, we did dodge the virus! Yea! Only two of the wedding guests contracted Covid and they are feeling better.

My Mother-in-law passed away Saturday morning from Covid. She was such a sweet lady and we will miss her very much. I wish she had been vaccinated but it was her choice not to get the shot.

She was isolated and did not leave the house but a guest came by and coughed all over everything. She thinks that was how she got the disease. I wish everyone would wear a mask. Anyone could have Covid and not know it.

One of my husband’s friends had Covid but did not have any symptoms. It is a good thing he was tested for it so he did not spread it to others.

We had so many great family gatherings at her house and she was one of, if not, the most gracious and diplomatic people I have ever known. Nannie-Lou Pendleton Kessler was a great lady.

My son was my husband’s parents first grand child and he loved his grand parents very much. I have included some of my favorite paintings of him.

My mother-in-law is not doing so well. She refused to get the vaccine and now has Covid. She has been in the hospital since last Wednesday and she is very ill. Her blood oxygen is still too low so hopefully it will be up soon. She is on oxygen and that should help.

On a brighter note, I am so pleased to sell another mountain painting to a great Virginia patron! Bull Mountain is one of my favorite impasto oil paintings and I am sorry to see it go but, like I always say, I live to paint but I can’t take them with me. Glad Bull Mountain has a great home. The patron is very pleased and thanked me for selling her a beautiful painting.

We were all tested again today with the long test since our first test was so close to the exposure day. I think we dodged Covid. There are only two at the wedding that tested positive for the disease. We won’t know for sure until tomorrow but I think we are in the clear! Too much to do today so I am just going to leave the paintings up from the last post and go do something besides work. Very, very tired.
