Last month I forgot to get gas where I can get a discount.  If the discount is not used before the end of the month I lose the credit.  So I have another note hanging from the kitchen doorway.  I had one yesterday for a dental appointment. 

I wonder if eventually I will have a note hanging there every day.  The calendar doesn’t work for me anymore.  You have to remember to look at it.  A note hanging down that I practically bump into does the trick!

Dragging Along…

I am dragging along today.  The virus I have is not that bad.  No fever.  Just very tired with some congestion.  I am surprised that my dental hygienist is willing to see me tomorrow afternoon.  I called to see if she would rather I come when I am well but she said it was okay.  

 

I am still working away.  It takes a lot to get me down.  I am close to finishing my latest painting!  I will have it here soon!

Life with The Word and Bird Man – Clyde Kessler

Clyde and I have been talking about the barrage of emails we get every day.  Emails are sort of like eggs.  Some people send stringy ones.  They email you over and over again in the same day.  They can’t seem to wait for an answer.  Some people send hard boiled ones.  These are ones that are so loaded with information that it looks like they have been cooking their thoughts for a long time.

Clyde and I like the over easy ones.  These are rather short emails from people that don’t expect you to answer in ten minutes or even the same day.  I have one correspondent that never answers right away.  Sometimes he answers in a day or so and sometimes it is a week.  I never worry about those kind of emails.  Too many hard boiled ones today.  I will get to them tomorrow.

Well, that was Different!

I make very plain meals due to dietary problems but today I tried a new recipe for pot roast that called for a cup of wine in the sauce plus bouillon.  That sauce made the potatoes taste great!  I will definitely make that again.  It doesn’t call for flour which my husband can’t eat so it is perfect for us!

I don’t have a funny of my own and Clyde has not been feeling well but there was a great one on Facebook!  I laughed out loud!

There was a picture of an adorable baby in a sink and the caption read, “If you see something my Mom put on Facebook, remind her that I am still in the sink.”  Love it!  I have over 2000 Facebook friends, a fan page, and a Community page.  I get such a kick out of sharing gems like that one!

Life with The Word and Bird Man – Clyde Kessler

Longevity runs in my family so I have been trying to get my body in better shape without hurting myself.  My Dad was real big on swimming so I try to swim once a week but it is not a weight bearing exercise so I walk and Line Dance.  It has been my mistake not to stretch before activities and I have discovered some muscle problems due to this mistake.

 

A while back I realized I could not touch my toes so I have worked hard to gradually stretch out those muscles and now I can touch my toes.

 

Now I am trying Yoga with a DVD and it is quite an eye opener!  The teacher can sit with her legs crossed and touching the floor.  I can’t even get near the floor.  She says to sit on a pillow so hips are higher than knees.  Doesn’t help one bit!

 

I am determined to get those knees down but those pigs aren’t  flying by the window!  My right knee is a little sore today so I have to take a break.

 

Maybe one of these days I will get those knees down and a whole slew of pigs will fly right by!
