As I have said many times, I live to paint but I do have several galleries of photographs on my website. A great Florida patron bought a print one of my favorite floral photographs. I am so glad all my artwork is appreciated! I work in many directions at once.

We all got out and walked yesterday! Yes! Wildwood Park is so beautiful and the weather here right now is perfect. Not too hot. Just right.
I want to finish another Skyline Beauty painting and then I want to get back to at least one Suggestion painting where I just fling the paint around until something shows up.
Then I help it along with my own interpretation. I have a lot of those in my Suggestions folder on my website but it has been a while so I will go that direction before I decide on another famous portrait.

Clyde seems to be over his awful cold. He didn’t attempt to break the sound barrier last night and we went for a walk in Wildwood Park. As I have mentioned before the beginning of the path is next to a sharp drop off and Clyde always walks right next to it.
As usual, I aggravated him by telling him not to walk so close to the edge. He said, “Why don’t you tie a rope around me and drag me along like a puppy?
Okay, we acrophobiacs are irritating but I wouldn’t do that. Or would I?

No funnies from The Word Man lately since he is still ill with a cold that would take down Godzilla. Clyde doesn’t get colds. He gets The Plague. At night he practically breaks the sound barrier trying to breathe. He is doing better and said last night was the best night he has had in a long time. 7-10 days my foot. Colds may last 7-10 days for most people, but not Clyde.
Anyway, there was a great aging funny on Facebook. A man in The Forgetful Support Groups says he is Fred and he is forgetful. Everyone in the room says, “Hi Carl”.

I finished the second stage of Beethoven Energy and am not sure whether there will be a third. I did not intend to give the portrait a nebulous look but I like the way it has turned out. I may just touch this one up and have two stages in my Stages of my Art Gallery.
I may even paint another one with a completely different approach to contrast and color. That is what I love about painting. If I knew exactly what I was doing, I wouldn’t do it.
It would be boring.

Once in a while things show up in our carpet that should not show up there. The other night Clyde found a rock in our bed room carpet. I said I didn’t think we had rocks in the carpet. I think I may have some in my head. He said one of them must have fallen out. Wrong comment, dear. Who is cooking supper tonight?

I finished the first stage of Beethoven Energy and hope to get to the second today. I am determined to express my feelings about this music in every brushstroke. I hope it will be an exciting interpretation of a great musician. The colors are going to fly!

Beautiful day! I am determined to get outside and take a walk in the park. I finished the first stage of my new painting and will upload it tomorrow. This one is going to be much looser in the brushwork than my other Kendall Expressions paintings. I am going for a very strong emotional response. Looking forward to the other layers. I am real excited about my new painting! Since I love music so much I have decided to paint some of my heroes. I already have one of David Garrett but I can not offer it or prints of it for sale. I can offer paintings of musicians from long ago for sale so that is another project I want to work on.
I am starting with a portrait of Beethoven and I intend to make it very expressive and upload it in my Stages of my Artwork gallery and my Kendall Expressions gallery. As soon as I get off the computer I will get it started

I don’t have anything from The Word Man today. He hasn’t been feeling well lately. We think he is having allergy problems. I think he should get tested to see what is bugging him. He is dragging his sinuses- I mean feet.
Anyway, there was a great joke on Facebook yesterday. I love chocolate and so does Clyde so I hope this doesn’t happen to us someday.
A guy is sitting in an arm chair trying to change channels with a remote when his wife comes in and tells him it isn’t the remote, it is a bar of chocolate. Yikes! The fun of aging!

I am having a problem with the gear shift in my old car. I had to travel a little further than usual and didn’t have any trouble with it so, of course, I forgot about the problem and made two stops I didn’t need to make on the way home. It was fine at the first stop but acted up at the second stop.
It took a while, but finally I was able to shift into drive. As my Dad always said, “Pay attention”. I am such a drifter off type of person. Anyway, I am home safe and sound.

Clyde likes to listen to Blues music. Oftentimes he will listen to a station on TV that just has the music with some background on the artists.
I brush and floss my teeth all day long. That is, of course, an exaggeration but when my dental hygienist said I had heavy build up even though I brushed three times a day and flossed at night I decided to work harder at keeping my teeth clean. I even have a kit in my purse.
I told Clyde I should write a Teeth Brushing Blues song. He had some good ideas for lyrics.
I got the teeth brushing blues. I brush my teeth all day long. I am running out of floss, my fingers are tired, and my teeth and gums are now blue, too! Oh my!

I have been watching a great documentary that is proof of the old saying that truth is stranger than fiction. The Wolf Pack is about a family with seven kids in lower East side New York that were not permitted friends or access to the outside world. They were home schooled by their mother and their father was the only one that left the apartment for necessities. The children were only let out on highly supervised visits to the doctor or the dentist. One year they did not leave the apartment at all. The kids watched movies and after a while decided to act the movies out with costumes that they made. Great documentary! I highly recommend it.
