Glad another print of my most popular shore painting was sold to a great Alabama patron!

This painting will always bring back great memories of that beautiful beach resort.

As I have mentioned before Pawley’s Island isn’t really an island but since the water goes around in a circle through the marsh it is called one. It is pictured at the top of my blog.

Haven’t been there in years. Hope we can go soon.

In one of my favorite Looney tunes Sylvester is in the kitchen opening a can of something to attract the kangaroo he thinks is a giant mouse.

I had to ask why Sylvester does not just open a can of Fancy Feast for himself.

Right as I was asking that question the kangaroo slams Sylvester with his legs.

Clyde said his Fancy Feast just clobbered him.

Time to work on a painting. Love my comic relief during the day.

Cheeky Chippy

Our resident chipmunk we call Chippy is running around the grounds with very full cheeks.

The bird feeder that is designed to keep animals out works great for squirrels but not for chipmunks.

Clyde saw Chippy in there sucking up all the sunflower seeds.

Oh well. There is a bird feeder that spins animals around in circles but I don’t think Clyde wants to get that one.

He gave Chippy a stern lecture. Doubt that will work.

I always loved it when Barney on The Andy Griffith show would get mad at people telling him he was superstitious and he would angrily say he was cautious, just cautious.

Well, I don’t consider myself to be a hypochondriac but I think over the years I have sought medical help when I did not need to. Just like Barney, I am just being cautious.

For the last few weeks I have been waking up most days with a mild headache. Probably eye strain but I wonder if I should go see a doctor or go back to the eye doctor or forget about it. It always goes away fairly quickly.

Oh well. I will think about it.

Every day after supper Clyde and I have a small piece of chocolate with our cup of coffee. He likes dark chocolate and I like milk chocolate.

This time of the year we have to watch out for ants so I keep the chocolate in the refrigerator. Ants always go right for it if I leave it out.

Dark chocolate gets so hard that I hurt my fingers trying to break it. A knife just crumbles it so a few days ago I told Clyde he has to cut his own chocolate.

He hasn’t hurt his fingers yet. Go figure.

After completing three Blue Ridge paintings with clouds I am thinking about getting back to the lake.

I still have a lot of files that I want to start from. They are my sketches and the painting is a creation based on them.

It is always an exciting experience that I can’t explain to anyone but it is what I love to do. Lots of work standing in front of an easel but like my Mom always said, “One person’s heaven is another person’s hell.

Painting is my heaven.

Still looking for various items for our new home and the rug problem is difficult.

I need a large oval rug to cover an oval space in our bedroom that is a different color from the rest of the wood.

If you look up oval rugs on the internet you get oblong ones. That would only cover up part of it. Maybe a rug store can have one cut to fit.

Anyway, I will get one soon I hope. Just wish I didn’t hate to shop so much. On well, show progress is still progress.

We always have good candy in the house and sometimes there is a surplus due to gifts for celebrations.

Well, right now we don’t have any so I made it clear to my son that I want a big box of candy for Mother’s Day.

Don’t want flowers. Our grounds are loaded with beautiful blooms.

Don’t want any other kind of gift. I have too much stuff and have to get rid of a lot of it at The Salvation Army store.

Just bring on the Russel Stovers and I will be happy!

A few Sundays ago I had to stop myself from doing The Electric Slide after playing the piano for the last time at church.

So glad to be off the stage.

Well, not surprised that I got a call from another church that is looking for a musician.

I will politely tell them I am not interested while I think in my mind no way! Happily retired!

There are so many polls all over the internet and TV and I like to check them out to see what people are thinking about various issues and political figures.

A lot of the percentages are surprising to me.

Clyde looks at certain ones and says the percentage on one side is 100% stupid.

I tend to agree.
