My eye is just about better and I am holding myself down and taking it easy for one more week. I am not going to go right back into all my activities and injure myself again.

I wish there were some sort of gauge we could wear that tells us we are working too hard or not hard enough. I’d buy that in a second.

I am very pleased to present my latest wildflower painting, A Circle of Coneflowers. So happy with the sensual surface of this work and the delicate but colorful light effect on the flowers.

My eye still looks awful and I made it worse. It was looking somewhat better on Thursday morning so I did my online Yoga class.

Friday morning all of the white was covered in blood so I went to the Opthamalogist and she said I should not do anything that increases my heart rate until my eye is better. She said I can walk very slowly but that is it.

I am also staying off the computer most of the time and just doing the bare minimum. Yuck!

I am just leaving the paintings up from last time and just changing the Youtube. Time to put my eye patch back on and take a slow walk.

Workaholics never learn. I did too much lifting yesterday and not only did I hurt my back but the strenuous effort caused vessels in my right eye to break so now the eye is half covered in blood. Looks awful.

This happened a long time ago when I did the same thing and was so relieved to hear from my ophthalmologist that the strain was what caused the vessels to break. It was a scary thing to see blood in my eye in the mirror since no one punched me.

Anyway, I am so pleased to sell another Blue Ridge Parkway painting to a great Virginia Beach patron. I spoke with her after it was delivered and she loves it! She is considering purchasing others.

Glad to see another sale of Richmond on the James to a great Richmond, VA patron! I am very proud of all of my creative interpretations of various skylines and hope to get back to that series soon.

Right now I have been inspired by some beautiful wildflowers that are located near my new home. I think it is great that wildflower seeds can be purchased and people can decorate their surroundings with them.

Cultivated flowers are beautiful but I love the natural flow of space that occurs with the interaction of wild blooms.

Anyway, still arranging things and just mailed out another Blue Ridge oil painting that I will include in my next blog. Got to get back to my easel.
