We have had such a long dry spell that I am enjoying the sound of rain! I have never disliked cloudy days. I prefer sunny days but cloudy days are great, too! I am always too busy to pay a lot of attention to the weather. As long as a hurricane or tornado does not show up, I’m good.

Please click on my Youtube! This is an old one but I have a lot of new WordPress friends!
Wow! Is there something new about computer files? I scanned my issue of The Inflectionist and the file size is 35 Megabytes! I have never successfully uploaded a file that size anywhere but today I put it on Facebook and it is here, too! I am very pleased with the magazine cover and the article! If you are interested in purchasing a great UK magazine the link is below!
Clyde and I had to laugh big time over a Facebook joke! The seventies band America wrote a song called A Horse with no Name. The guy is going through the desert on a horse with no name. Someone on Facebook said that at any time during that desert trip the guy could have given the horse a name. Just saying!
Just finished another Ying Yang painting and I think I like this one the best. Now I am going to move on to another symbol to interpret or another motiff to work with. Also, I am almost done with Clyde’s portrait and I have begun plans for another floral landscape. Busy, busy, busy!
Clyde just sent me the link to his latest publication! Be sure to click on it and check out the Word Man’s work!
Please click on my Youtube! I should have a new one soon!
I was going to post a new Ying Yang painting but I got side tracked so I will probably have it up tomorrow. Beautiful weather! Clyde and I took a walk in beautiful Wildwood Park and now I am back to work. Cheers!
I am promoting The Inflectionist as much as possible! It is great to have one of my paintings on the cover and an article on me! So here is the link! Please buy a copy!
I had such a bad experience with a sales representative over the phone that I had to call Clyde and tell him about it. The woman I talked to kept spelling my name wrong but insisted she was spelling it correctly. She was also rude about a number of other things she asked me.
I have had students on the verge of getting an “F” for a course speak in a politer manner to me and that is saying something these days. One student put me through the ringer because she insisted the “C” she received was incorrect. Her helicopter Dad called the president of the University to complain. I have been happily retired for four years.
Anyway, at the beginning of the conversation I was given the option to fill out a survey about the service at the end of the call. I declined but I will be sure to do that next time!
Working on the third stage of Rolling Beauty and am not real happy with it. I am going to take a good look at the first stage before I go any further. In the process of pulling out the forms and adjusting color I seem to be losing some of the energy of the piece. Art really is a crap shoot. Right now I will claim victory and retreat until I can get into a better frame of mind.
The Word Man doesn’t have a funny today but I know he will have one soon. He isn’t trying to come up with funnies for this blog he just naturally cracks me up all the time. Anyway, I had to show him this great joke on Facebook. Got a lot of likes for this one.
Two side by side pictures of a guy with a huge pot belly. The only difference is in the second one the guy does not have his glasses on. The caption reads In Only Two Weeks Robert Lost His Glasses!
Just finished another Suggestions paintings and I am off to the pool! I would like to swim in the lake but I am having a little trouble with my left leg so I think it would be great to get in the therapy pool. I am also pleased that my latest Stages of my Art painting is coming along well.
The first stage has more of the color I want but the second stage has more form so in the third stage I will work at recapturing the color contrast of the first stage. I will add the second stage later today. Looking forward to working on it again tomorrow!
Line Dancing was great last night! I finally got the hang of one that is rather difficult – at least difficult for me. We had a good sized class and Tuesday the 25th we will be performing at the Train Station in Pulaski, VA! Come on out! We always have one easy dance we invite the audience to try with us! Lots of fun and The Farmers Market has great stuff there!
Pleased to sell a print of Isle of Palms Sunset to a great Minnesota patron! Love the shore and wish I could visit more often. South Carolina has gorgeous beaches!

Clyde and I kid around a lot but I do have the greatest respect for my Poet/Naturalist husband and here is a link to his latest publications. If you want to know more about the Word and Bird Man, just put his name in Google! Lots and lots of great stuff about him!
The other night we were talking about whales. I have always been fascinated by the shore and marine life. One of my favorite films is Blue Water White Death which was a documentary on the great white shark.
I said to Clyde that I saw a whale once off the Delaware coast when I was eighteen. He said that was nothing, he would be seeing one in a few minutes. He was about to take a shower. Okay so he isn’t as skinny as when we were first married but he is certainly isn’t whale size. LOL!
A few weeks ago someone mentioned that boom boxes were no longer available so when mine boomed its last boom a few days ago I assumed I would have to go get some fancy new CD player. Well, I must have misunderstood what was said to me because there are a number of different types of boom boxes at Walmart.
I was pleased to get just want I wanted yesterday! I can’t practice Line Dancing without music and my computer is in a room without much floor space. Line Dancing is tonight! I always look forward to class!
Here is my latest commission. A patron asked me to paint a blood hound in my Kendall Expressions style! I am real pleased with the results. I do not have it on my site yet for prints but I will put it there soon!

I hate to follow up a discouraging post about gun violence with a Monday Blues story but this is one irritating Monday. We all have them. I spent an hour with a computer operator at RU trying to get rid of some wierd announcement I get when I try to go to the site.
After a full hour of back and forth and his manipulation of my computer he said they were having a short and that was the last word I heard from him.
If he doesn’t try to call me back it will be a little hard not to think he was making that up because he just couldn’t solve the problem. I will wait and see. Now I have to log in to all my sites with pass words I have a hard time remembering. This is not fun.
I have to go see about a rather sudden growth on my forehead later today and, to modify an old hit song, all she wants to do is paint!
Cheers, it really is Monday!

Yesterday we were discussing music after church. Our organist is great! She also plays the piano and the guitar and was trained in voice! I always thank her after church because I know how much work goes into music. I play my piano every day. Clyde has studied music more than I have and is familiar with the historical development of the art. He can play the guitar very well but doesn’t read music.
We were talking about singing and how hard it would be to sing really well. A singer can’t drop a note the way pianists can and get away with it. Clyde said that he would be dropping notes right and left and everyone would be headed for the door if he sang solo. I don’t think anyone is considering asking him to sing.
I hate to be gloomy but I am wondering what is happening to our freedom in the USA. I don’t think the terrorists have to work so hard to frighten us anymore. Our own people have taken care of that. We shouldn’t have to be afraid of a movie theater or a store or a political rally or a race or anywhere else but the thought of being in the wrong place at the wrong time is now a part of my thoughts.
We have always had mentally ill people but we have not always had all these shootings of people going about their daily lives. I don’t want to get into a gun control debate but I wish these horrible events would quit happening so frequently. We can’t stop living to keep from dying but we also shouldn’t have to consider the possibility of being killed for no reason.
