So much to do when you are planning to move. This sort of stuff is really hard on someone who has a hard time getting away from a studio and art promotion.

It’s like, really? We need to do that? Yes, we do and then are a lot of repairs we need to do on our home before we put it up for sale. Yuck, yuck, and triple yuck.

Artists never grow up which is a great way to live in my opinion but, of course, we have to grow up in some ways and they are a drag on my spirit. I would much rather go to the beach.

We haven’t been in a few years and I am really yearning for the shore so I put up some favorite shore paintings here. Hope we get there next year and for now we are getting to the lake when we can.

I keep saying I am going to work on some more wildlife paintings but then I go back to the Skyline ones. I have two new ones of Atlanta Georgia that were done on a video. Lots of nice responses!

I had such a nice time swimming with my hubby on Monday and today it cooled way down and rained. We certainly picked the right day!

Well, I was going to complain about my latest painting but since a great North Carolina patron bought the above painting, I think I will talk about that! Always glad to place a painting. I am hoping my work will still be around after I am gone and I am especially proud of this one.

I received a comment today on it that was so nice to hear. The commenter said he liked the swirling paint under the hawk’s beak which is my favorite part of the painting, too! So nice to communicate from one person to the next with my work. The painting I am working on now has strong vibrant colors and I think I am finally reconciling past different approaches to my work and my current methods. Hope to be done soon.

Well, my latest figure painting took one of those nose dives off a cliff. I tried to go back in time and use techniques I used when I painted it. Didn’t work out so I am back to the small brushwork I use on my paintings now.

I mostly paint landscapes but I do have a number of portraits and people paintings I am proud of and I have not given up on this one. I have been looking at past paintings and comparing the different levels of paint that was applied and the brushwork.

My paintings are so much more complicated now but the early ones are also successful – just a different approach. The one above is one of my oldest and I wouldn’t change anything about it. I don’t have time to work on my latest today but I will get back to it tomorrow, hopefully.

My latest Youtube demo painting is a Skyline Beauty of Pittsburgh and it is getting a lot of attention so I thought I would post some favorites here.I am having a little difficulty with my latest painting but I think it will get back on track tomorrow.

It isn’t giving me any trouble. I am just down about politics right now. I am not going to say which side I am on but there is a lot of disturbing news from people on the internet that I think know what they are talking about. I am not talking about people on social media sites that know everything and try to convince you they know everything. I look for posts by people that are in the political arena to try to discern what is going to happen next.

I keep telling myself that the sky is always falling according to a lot of people so I need to just stay calm and concentrate on my work. Be sure to check out my latest Demo Youtube and have a great day! Always good to keep smiling!

My figure painting is coming along and I am surprised that It isn’t giving me any problems at this point. Weird. Well, it is sort of a fantasy painting and not a portrait and I am having a great time with the colors. I guess I can’t complain. Now why did the font lose the bold just because I accidentally went to the next line? Still not used to the new WordPress. I just keep plugging along with changes in sites and try to smile about it. Anyway, I am still having a great time with my Youtube audience so I am mostly concentrating on increasing the follow on that site.I have never had much interaction with WordPress but I do want to keep the blog up. I am really having a great time with my Youtube demos and right now I am getting into more and more expressive creations so I thought I would include those types of my paintings here this time. Sometimes I go wild with color and brushwork and that is mostly what I do on Youtube.

Be sure to check out my latest fanciful horse painting demo below. My latest figure painting has had quite a few delays due to other obligations but I am determined to get a lot of work done on it this week.

I am pleased with how it is coming along. It has a dreamy look right now and I will probably go with that. It hasn’t started to talk to me yet but I am sure it will soon. And some people don’t think artists are crazy!

I am excited about getting out in the sun today for a picnic lunch with a friend. It has been too long and the weather is perfect. We will probably go to beautiful Bisset Park.
