Yesterday my online Yoga teacher had a class that emphasized creating heat in the body.

It was a great work out but later in the day I started feeling a twinge in my rear end that increased quite a bit. Taking it easy today.

I hate to take pain relievers but this time I really had to take something. Sometimes we just have to slow down.

The class turned out to be too hot for me.

I now have a separate scanner for documents and one for slides.

I don’t have a lot of slides to scan but I do have some and I have some paintings on film of sold paintings from long ago that I want to scan and add to my portfolio.

Well, as usual, I messed something up on the computer when I was working with my camera yesterday. Clyde couldn’t figure it out so the young calvary will be here tonight.

Great! Before I mess up my new scanner I can get him to help me with that, too! My camera mess up is going to work to my advantage this time.

Well, I never thought I would live to see the day that I am selling prints of my paintings on face masks!  I have sold my prints on a lot of household items and clothes but now my work is on face masks. 

I have included a link to my most popular wildflower painting, Natural Rhythm on a mask below.  They are $15.00.

Anyway, I am very pleased with the first stage of my latest wildflower painting.  I am taking a different approach to this one and I will just see what happens.  So far it has a nice swaying motion that I like very much. 

I may upload a first stage of it and I may not.  Sometimes I do that but this one has a lot of work to do and I don’t know if I want prints of the first layer available.  Oh well! The studio is getting cleaned up and organized at the same time!  Now that is a first!

Life with The Word and Bird Man – Clyde Kessler

This virus is devastating. There was only one small bag of one of our staples, Russell Stover pecan delights at kroger! We will have to ration them. Also, for two weeks I have had to eat organic regular spaghetti instead of Angel Hair!

What next? Big time LOL!!! I don’t mean to make light of this very serious situation and I do feel for all the people that are experiencing horrible hardships but I love to laugh. Always good to joke around in these difficult times.

Poor Clyde is noodleless right now. Our order for the kind he can eat still hasn’t arrived. Usually that company gets stuff to us faster than greased lightening.  He may be in for another spaghetti on potatoes night.  He did like that but spaghetti without noodles is just meat sauce. 

I think we will survive!

I was so pleased to see one minister’s great solution to holding services with his congregation!  He got on the roof of the church and the parishioners were in their cars!  What a smart guy!  I wish all congregations that were determined to meet together would follow his example.

We need to keep our distance right now. Also, nothing wrong with online services.  I have been playing the piano at our church for years and will be happy to play again but it is nice to have a break. There are over 800 hymns and I certainly don’t know them all.

Life with The Word and Bird Man – Clyde Kessler

As I have mentioned before, Clyde has a weird disease that prevents him from eating a lot of foods in all food groups except meat.  He was in the habit of picking up a number of items at a specialty store but stopped that when this awful virus took over.

One of the things he can’t eat is flour so we get special kinds of noodles for spaghetti.  We ran out yesterday and he asked for potatoes as a side dish substitute.  Our order in the mail still hasn’t arrived. 

When dinner was ready I had to tease him a little. 

Okay, man without a noodle, dinner is served. 

Are you saying I am a man without a noodle that is going to eat the whole kitten kaboodle? 

Right. Why did I marry a writer? Enjoy your potato spaghetti!

My studio is finally getting cleaned up.  Now that I am not getting out very much, the mess in this house and studio is staring me right in the face and I don’t have an excuse to ignore it. I am able to get  to my painting, music, and computer chores and still have time to clean up.  I don’t know how many layers of dust have accumulated  but those layers are bothering me now. 

You would think someone that is allergic to dust and mold would take better care of a house.  Well, when I only have time to paint or clean, guess which activity wins out?  I don’t like this quarantine any better than anyone else, but it does have this one advantage.

As always, Clyde gets up very early to check out wildlife around Radford.  I doubt there are many people that do that on a regular basis or at all.  He is quite the dedicated naturalist. 

You get up at the creak of dawn! 

Yes, and I creak around and then creak right on out of here. 

Just remember, don’t talk to the otters. Remember the time you did that and they started to come after you.  You must have said something nasty about their mother in otter talk.
