Not looking forward to this afternoon. I have to get another crown. This is my third one and I hope it is the last. My first dentist was awful and did not see that I had three cavities and one was very bad. They were discovered after we switch dentists.
Like a lot of people, as I got older cracks developed in spite of the fillings so it is either get a crown or lose the tooth. Of course, the gold crown is cosmetic according to the insurance company so the cost is very high. How can a crown be cosmetic in any way?
Oh well, I will paint this morning, do a lot of computer and house chores and then get on over to an unpleasant procedure.
Glad to have great people that are willing to work in a mouth.

I am racing the clock to get to a webinar today! So far I have not found these webinars very helpful. This one is 90 minutes long. Yikes! Can’t they talk faster than that? I did get some work done on a painting and a lot of computer stuff, but, as always there is much more to be do.
I am so pleased with my latest Heart Whimsy paintings. Heart Flight is one of the most sensuous ones I have done so far. I am doing some of them in oils rather acrylics. Oils truly is my first love!

I am still having trouble with my new phone and apps. When an app says the work has been corrected I think that should be the end. Well, it isn’t the end. I have to hit an arrow below the image to be able to use it. The phone is starting to get the same gripes my computer gets.
Of course, Clyde has a crazy comment about it. He says to see if that fancy phone can do the yoga move Downward Facing Dog and then let go when it can’t support itself.

I am real pleased to be on Instagram! I hope I get a lot of followers. As usual, I have had a very hard time doing what I want. I have an App to add a watermark to my paintings and an App to correct the color and contrast but I keep messing up the images. They look pretty good on my camera but when I check the site they are pretty awful.
I will get used to all the buttons and get it right but I am slow with computer stuff. Something I have mentioned ad nauseum.
Anyway, I mentioned to Clyde all the problems I have been having with Instagram. I told him that in my case it should be called Instastupid.

As usual Clyde is out Bird Watching. He is still uploading records to Cornell. It is cold out there but nothing stops him. I am so glad he is careful about hunters this time of the year. He is in a State Park today that does not allow hunters except on rare occasions and then the park is closed.
When Hunting Season comes around I am reminded of a Muppets skit where two hunters are bragging about what they shot. One said, “I shot me a tractor!” The other one said, “Well, I got me a dump truck!” Love those skits! No offense to hunters!
I am having a great time on my memory painting! I love to draw on all those pictures stored in my head. Water scenes are especially important to me. I love the shore!

I don’t have anything from The Word Man today, at least, not anything that I can print. He sure does come up with some great political comments but we would both like to stay alive.
There are a lot of funnies about Christmas trees on Facebook right now! My favorite has a picture of a sad looking dog in front of a fallen tree. The caption reads, “Thank goodness you are home. The tree fainted!”

Also, I actually figured out how to copyright my paintings on my Android phone and put them on Instagram! I didn’t even look at the tutorial! Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks! I did it! No one helped me!

Such a beautiful Monday! Colder than a well diggers butt in Alaska but the light is gorgeous! Looking forward to all the work I have to do today. It is a good think I am a workaholic. Especially looking forward to painting on my new ocean painting! Love the mountains and love the shore!

Over the years Clyde and I have had a horrible times with pests. The roaches in our first apartment were unbelievable. Before we left on a trip one time Clyde donned a mask and blasted the whole kitchen with roach spray. I called him The Lone Roacher. It worked. We never saw another roach after that.
Our house has been another story. We have done battle with roaches and ants for most of the years we have lived here. We finally got rid of the roaches but the ants always pay us a visit as soon as the weather is warm.
Now we are having problems with a wheat eating moth.
The other night I was talking about all the problems we have had with pests. Right after I said they have been incredibly strong and resistant Clyde said thank you.
I can always count on that pest to turn a conversation around and make it funny. For the record, Clyde was not one of the pests I was not talking about. LOL
