I wonder how many people say that when it comes to organizing information for taxes?

I say that every year but this time it will be different.

I guess I can put that right up there with New Years resolutions that I have never kept so I stopped making them.

Oh well, I have a good start so maybe it will not be so much of a head ache next year. I’ll believe it when tax time comes around next year and I am not groaning.

Could be that I get it together. You never know.

One of the reasons that I through a tantrum on Saturday was after all my frustration with my new camera I could not find the instruction book anywhere.

I was so careful to keep track of it and it disappeared.

I will check out some Youtubes and see if I can order or download another instruction book.

I miss the old days when you did not need to read a book to use things.

Going to cheer up today and work on something else.

I now have a separate scanner for documents and one for slides.

I don’t have a lot of slides to scan but I do have some and I have some paintings on film of sold paintings from long ago that I want to scan and add to my portfolio.

Well, as usual, I messed something up on the computer when I was working with my camera yesterday. Clyde couldn’t figure it out so the young calvary will be here tonight.

Great! Before I mess up my new scanner I can get him to help me with that, too! My camera mess up is going to work to my advantage this time.

Lot of scary stuff in the news and on the internet. Since I spend a lot of time promoting my artwork online I am constantly running into scary posts.

I like to remind myself of the saying, “The Sky is Falling”. People are always saying that in one way or another and I keep reminding myself of that.

Just hope it is still not true during these unusual times. You don’t need to be an Historian to see some alarming trends of our times.

We all have to hope everything will work out and the sky is not really falling.

Last night when we were watching TV I saw the reflection of some sort of bird in the window glass by the TV.

I knew it was not outside so I asked Clyde if we had a bird in the house.

It was a bat and it was behind me. Yikes!

We have no idea how it got into the house. It flew all over. We opened the doors and it must have flown out but we never saw that happen.

We named him Dingy, short for Ding Bat.

Hope he really did fly out.

I have lived with a dedicated naturalist for many decades but I have never seen a hawk slam into the window to catch a blue jay until this morning.

After the big thud there were feathers streaming from the sky onto our front yard.

Clyde said hawks have figured out how to slam small birds into windows to capture them.

Yikes! Hope they don’t break a window. Sorry for the blue jay.

Don’t have much to say today but I saw a joke I loved on the internet.

When I finally choke to death on gummy bears, I hope people will say I was killed by bears.

Not sure what to name our Sanctuary

Due to my husband’s efforts we are covered up in all kinds of birds. A lot of them hang out at the feeder but many of them congregate on the evergreen out front that he puts seed on.

But there are squirrels competing for the seed on that one and one of them loves to sit in it. Also, deer roam through here but I have not seen Bambi lately.

I guess it is a Neighborhood wildlife sanctuary.

As I said in another post, if a bear shows up the sanctuary will close.

Last night Clyde said something that cracked me up. I wish I had written it down.

I used to do that so I could put his quips in my blog but he isn’t coming up with as many as he used to come up with.

We were talking about that last night. He thinks it is because his mind has been on his slow recovery from surgery and now he is on iron which is messing up his digestive system.

Hopefully he will be off of that soon and get back to the jokes!

I was directed to the Canon site for help and discovered that my Power Shot has been retired. I guess that is why I can’t import anything into Photos.

I will get Clyde to see if he can figure something out before I admit defeat and buy a new camera. As I have said ad nauseam, I hate shopping.

I know a lot of people think a girl that does not like to shop is a freak of nature but I know a few other girls that don’t like it either.

Maybe we should form a club.
