I am still griping about Towhees in Wildwood Park. To think, I named my studio after that beautiful, but irritating bird. I really get tired of hearing, “Drink your tea”, over and over again on our walks.
I asked Clyde if it had another song. He said it didn’t have one. It was a one-hit wonder long ago and is trying desperately to make a come back. I guess I just have to learn to love it.
I found a joke that applies to this bird.
Why did the bird go to the hospital? To get tweetment.
Maybe if a Towhee got tweetment it could come up with another song. LOL!
Please click on my latest Youtube! Hope to have another one tomorrow!
Running around in circles today. So much to do, so little time. Hoping to get to another Youtube after Yoga class. Great class! Check it out at Life in Balance, Christiansburg, VA!

I am so pleased to sell two prints of one of my favorite New River paintings to a great Virginia patron! One on a paper print and one on a t-shirt! I love the thought of someone walking around with my painting on their shirt!
A lot of people believe there is a sock eating monster in the dryer. How can one sock disapear? When I was in school an Art student made a great claymation video of the monster poking its head in the dryer for socks.
I think there is an eye glasses monster that steals my glasses. I don’t want to get one of those chains but I may have to. I only allow them to be in one of two places so that’s how I know there is a thief.
I mentioned this to Clyde and he said if that’s true then there are a lot of strange little sock creatures wearing broken glasses running around the house looking for hiding places.
My illustrations for Fiddling at Midnight’s Farm House are coming along. I have the first stage of eleven and am working on number twelve today. So far Train Spirits is Clyde’s favorite. I am so glad the publisher loves the cover illustration. I am excited about how it will look with the text. Hope to hear from her soon.

Well, my main computer woes are over for now but my Instagram feed on my phone seems to be locked. I have no idea what to do with it.
When our young friend was helping us with our computer he was appalled to learn our computer is five years old. We updated it a few years ago but that doesn’t seem to matter much these days.
Clyde said one of these days if a gadget lasts six weeks it will be time to have a big party – a retirement party.
I am pleased to present the finished version of Zebra Curve. I am glad I have preserved the other two stages. It is great to see one’s decisions and not to lose different sessions. I decided to let the contrast serve as the major vehicle of expression in this one.

My back is completely well now so it is time to work too hard and injure something else. Just kidding. I do try to pace myself but there is so many things I want to work on. Maybe I can get a lot done today without hurting myself!

I like perfume and colognes. I never wear them because a lot of people are allergic to them and I don’t want to be the cause of discomfort. My Dad wore one that I thought smelled great.
Clyde doesn’t use them either but he always smells good to me. The other day when I hugged him I told him he smelled good. He said it was amazing what a little soap and water can do. Ha ha. Shampoo is great, too! I wonder if anyone is allergic to the smell of shampoo. If so, we are all in big trouble!

I did too much on Monday. I will never learn. When I really get going with everything I usually injure a muscle. This time I have a sore muscle in my upper back. I’m sure it is from too much computer clicking, typing, and painting.
Oh well, it is getting better. I hope I can paint today but I probably should take a day off. I received quite a twinge right after typing the last sentence.
Cheers!

Yesterday at Yoga we were in a new restorative position that was quite different from previous ones and, as always, the instructor was talking to us about relaxing and focusing on what is good in our lives and not to think about things that make us anxious.
She mentioned a number of things that might have been making us anxious and then she said that we might be anxious about how long she was going to keep us in the pose.
I had to laugh out loud at that point because I was wondering when we would move on to another pose. The others laughed a little, probably to be polite to me.
Oh well, when I told Clyde he said I do laugh easily. He is right but I still think he comes up with hilarious quips. He married his best audience. He didn’t have a funny to add to this situation. Next time!

I actually painted and cleaned up part of the studio today! A miracle in my own home! Now, if I can just get all my computer stuff done, supper, dishes and so on I will stop calling this day a horrible Monday.
I like to work but sometimes it is just ridiculous! I hope I can get out for a walk before I get covered up again by the To Do List.

I can’t believe what I said to Clyde Saturday night. I guess I was having quite a senior moment. We always travel to Ferrum on Easter to visit Clyde’s family and have a great time! Usually I cook supper when we get home but I thought it would be nice to just eat out. I spend way too much time in front of the sink.
I asked Clyde if McDonalds would be open on Easter. He looked at me with a shocked expression and said he didn’t think McDonalds was going to run off with the Easter Bunny.
I don’t know why I asked. There are still some Holidays that everyone gets to take a break from working. Easter certainly isn’t one of them. I just Googled McDonalds breaks and SOME of them are closed for Christmas. I guess it is hard for workers to get a break these days.

I got a lot done today including the first stage of my new Skyline Beauty painting, Richmond Gold. I am so pleased with this one that I will probably just tweak it and then present it as one stage rather than two. Don’t know. Will know when I get back to it.

As usual I am working on this life sucking device but today there is a change in the room. A poor female cardinal keeps knocking herself against the window. Since I am married to the Bird Man I knew right away what was going on. She is trying to frighten off the bird she is seeing in the window so she can build a nest without competition.
This happened yesterday afternoon and Clyde opened the window to change the angle of light so she wouldn’t see her reflection but I don’t think that will work today. It is cloudy. Oh well, I will consult The Bird Man when he gets home.

I love fancy candy in boxes. I don’t eat a lot of it but once in a while those hand built chocolates are great! The other day I bought a box and when I opened it the candy was as old as me. There was white stuff on all of the pieces. I really wanted a fancy chocolate so I ate two and then regretted it.
Chocolate that old does not taste good. It was so bad that I called Clyde and told him if I die from food poisoning he should sue the store where I got the chocolate.
As usual he had a smart alec remark. He said probably all he would get would be two pieces of good chocolate after he paid the lawyers thousands of dollars. He would be pushing a broom until he was 102 to pay for the suit.
Ha ha.
