Love the weather right now. Not too cold or hot. Just right. We are in for a deluge this weekend so it is time to step away from the computer and get outside. Clyde and I walk very slowly until his knee is better. I hope I will get a good report when he gets home. The progress varies. Hope every one has a great weekend!

Life with The Word and Bird Man – Clyde Kessler
Clyde is still having trouble with his knee in spite of exercise and weights. It will be a long time before he is better but you have to give him an “A” for effort! His sense of humor is coming back and I am getting some goofy answers to my questions.
Yesterday I called him and opened with,
You know how we all change a lot as we age.
No, I am just an older monkey.
Well, I have changed a lot. When I was young I wasn’t that interested in History and now I am fascinated by it. I want to read all that whaling history in Moby Dick. Where is it?
Got it from the library and now those parts of the book don’t seem to take up as much of the book as I thought they did.
There is a great Moby Dick funny on the internet. Herman Melville is puzzled about a piece of paper that he is holding. I white whale is staring at him and saying it is a restraining order, idiot.

I was determined today to have a good Wednesday. I don’t know what it is about Wednesday’s, but things seem to just go wrong. I am pleased to report this evening that I had a good Wednesday and hope the evening is good, too.
Lots to do but the glasses strand with little tiny fake pearls did not burst all over the kitchen floor and no rants over technology, though the rants can happen any day of the week. I won’t get into all those other Wednesday irritations that usually occur. Beautiful day!

Clyde is using weights now to strengthen his knee. I was real pleased to find an adjustable set so he can take it slow. Still not getting much humor from him right now. I asked him if he had a funny for my blog and he said he was too pooped out, popped up, blowed up, and busted to come up with a joke.
Well, I guess that is a writer with a sore knee’s way of saying nothing right now. Saw a great surgery joke online. In the middle of an operation the doctor tells the nurse to go to Surgery.com and click on the Are you totally lost icon. The patient hasn’t been put under yet. YIKES!

Technology has me screaming at times. I needed to correct something and when I told the person on chat I did not know the number I needed to use correct the situation, he gave me a link to the same page where I needed that number to correct the situation.
Arggh! I explained that goof up to the next online chat agent and she rectified the situation but this was after I had gone through a bunch of other online circles that turned into dead ends. One technology problem can take up way too much time. Cheers on a Monday! I need some.
Check out my latest Skyline Beauty painting! I am working on Paris now! Been there twice!

Clyde is able to walk more, but every once in a while his knee locks up and he lets out a yell. I will be so glad when he is better. He gets another shot today.
When we walk in the park I take my camera. I never know when I will see something for inspiration. The last time he asked me if I had my camera and I told him I wasn’t taking it.
He said we would be sure to see a Big Foot sighting or some paranormal activity that could actually be photographed.
After we had walked for a while I mentioned that we hadn’t seen anything that was weird. He said, oh no? Look to your right. I was on the left. Ha ha! Yes, you are weird but I have a lot of photographs of you. Don’t need anymore just yet. Keep walking.
I send out a newsletter every two weeks. One comes from Fine Art America and the other comes from Mail Chimp. Mail Chimp is a great service but that monkey really gets on my nerves.
I don’t know if it is my computer or the site but it seems to stall in certain places so I think I am doing something wrong. I am learning to just wait and that monkey will stop throwing coconuts at me and come down from the tree and help me out.
Anyway, I got it done yesterday. Yes!!!!
If any WordPress friends would like to be on my newsletter list, let me know!
Clyde has wanted me to hear the song of a white eyed vireo and yesterday there was one chirping away in Wildwood Park. This bird takes notes from other birds and combines them into a song that sounds like, “Quick, give me the beer check.” The song irritates the other birds.
I told Clyde I knew why it is saying “Quick, give me the beer check.” One of the loudest most repetitive birds in that park is the towhee which says over and over again, “Drink your tea.” I think hearing that all day long would make any bird want to say “Quick, give me the beer check.” I surprised it doesn’t add, “I’m out of here.”
The upcoming presidential election really has me worried. I am concerned, as always, that money is deciding the race for the nomination. Here is a cartoon from 1870 that certainly applies to 2016. As I have mentioned before, Clyde always says to hold your nose and vote. Unless things change I will need a space suit this time.
Please click on my latest Youtube! I will have a short one up soon and one that requires a lot of prep.
We had a great time at the movies watching Angry Birds! Clyde didn’t like the preview he saw so he was pleasantly surprised. It was hilarious! Good to tear myself away from the computer once in a while.

I am having more trouble with my old car that may or may not be a problem. I keep hearing a strange noise that sounds like some sort of plank that is trying to fall out of the bottom. It mostly happens when I back the car in or out of our driveway.
I have started driving Clyde to our park walks to see if he can figure out what it is. Of course, there is no sound when he is in the car.
He said maybe his big butt is applying so much weight to the car that the sound is being squished.
I watch DVDS that I get from the Library and Netflix for breaks. It takes me days to watch one but tonight I am actually going to see a complete one at the theater! I am going to tear myself away from the computer and the studio and step out! Yea!

I am still fighting the Image Thieves and moths but I am excited about my next Youtube which I think will be a great one! I have written a terrific script and will use a lot of my artwork in this one. It will take a while before it will be ready to upload but I am working on it. I may put up a short one soon but I think I want to concentrate on this one.

I don’t have a funny from Clyde today. I asked him yesterday if he had any quips but he said he was so busy with his heavy duty poetry and naturalist activities right now that it has taken the funny right out of him.
I know that won’t last!
Here is the link to this great cartoon that certainly is an appropriate one for Clyde! The cartoon is in the public domain. I don’t rip people off and I wish they would stop ripping me off.
I have two enemies right now – Image Thieves and Moths. Spending a lot of time fighting both of them. I have been cleaning out our shelves due to an infestation of moths. Also finding more internet thieves that insist on stealing my work for print sales and free downloads.
I hate the war I am fighting with both enemies but the Image Thieves certainly take first place.

The next presidential election has me scared. I have never seen such a strange race and I do worry about the future of this country. I am not going to give out any names but I think Clyde is right. He says one of the presidential hopefuls has enough hot air to send us right off the edge.
I’m not real sure which edge he is referring to but I certainly agree with the hot air.
I am very pleased to sell another print of one of my most popular paintings, Wildflower Current to a great New York patron! The original is still available and I hope to find a good home for it.
Back to The Image Thieves. I am still finding infringers and no end in sight. The ones that lawyers can’t do anything about really make me angry. Again, please do not get prints of my work on any other site than Zazzle and Fine Art America.

I am always amazed at how glib Clyde is. The other day a follower said he was a card. When I mentioned that to him, he said he thought he was several cards short of a full deck and has been that way since the shuffling began.
