This morning my son came into the computer room coughing and said he was sick!  Arghh!  Too much to do all the time!  Well, he has been to the doctor and I am back to work.  Cold and flu season sure gums up the works!

Yesterday I was worried I would have too many brownies left over from Octoberfest at church, but, as usual, that was not a problem because I walked out without them.  The last time I looked, almost all of them were still there. 

Oh well,  my husband counts the money for the church so he can bring them home later today.  I don’t think people like brownies as much as they used to and mine are great!

Just sold another print of “Reaching Out” to a great patron in New York!  This drawing really gets around!  It is on the set of The Mindy Project which begins its new season Tuesday 9:30!  

It is located across from Mindy’s desk!

I guess it is the Monsoon season right now!

Lots of rain lately.  Too bad it was so dry when the crops really needed it.  Oh well,  I am glad to see the cool weather. 

I hate running the air conditioner, but when sweat starts rolling off my back, we turn it on.  Cheers!

This may be the Last time for the Summer

I am determined to get all my work done and get to the lake today.  It is cool right now but it will be hot later.  The beach area closes after Labor Day Weekend so this is my last swim for the season!

I Guess I have Gotten used to that Piano…

I have played the piano since I was a kid and one of the first things I noticed about pianos is that all of them have very different action and it takes me days to get used to them.

A while back I was complaining about how white oil paint has changed. It is much thinner and seems to take forever to dry. I guess I finally figured out how used to it and now I like it very much. I use much less medium and am able to use brushes I hadn’t used in years.

Like I said, I guess I finally got used to that piano!

I don’t know which button I hit that I shouldn’t have hit but my choices on the draft are completely different. I guess I will hit publish and see what happens.

One More Time before the Storm!

I wanted to get one more blog in as the thunder rolls around outside.  I can’t imagine ruining a computer because I just didn’t get off during a storm!  Not going to happen!  Here is another painting and then Good Bye until tomorrow or the end of the storm – whichever comes first.

Computer Arm Strikes Again! Time to get Off!!!

I need to let up but there is always so much to do online.  I don’t have carpel  tunnel but I do have one sore arm!   As we all know, swimming is the answer!  I will be there tomorrow!

Nice Cool Day in Southwest Virginia!

I love the warm weather and swimming in the lake but it is nice to get a cool day one in a while.  Rain is predicted and we need it!
