I am still plowing my way through my studio.  Right now it looks worse than when I began.  Oh well, I am finding things so that is great!

I consider our computer room to be Clyde’s studio where he has all his writing stuff and birding stuff.

When I complained about how hard it is to clean up my studio I suggested he clean his up.

He said he didn’t have a studio, just a Messyo.

That’s for sure!  Fat chance of that being sorted out.  He does take a few things out of there to recycle so I shouldn’t complain.  Don’t let anyone tell you writers don’t have a mess like artists do.  NOT TRUE!

Well, that explains it.   All that mess is coming from more than one person!  LOL!

I got back into the Bermuda Triangle today and found some prints that I have been looking for this year.  I am uploading certain works to a site that will not take large files and I scanned most of my original lithographs so the files are too large. 

Still have mounds and mounds of things to go through but I will continue to boldly go where no one in their right mind would go. 

I guess that reinforces the crazy artist myth.  Maybe it isn’t a myth after all.  I used to try to convince people that artists aren’t any crazier than any other group of people but perhaps I am wrong.  LOL!

One think I can count on is the lack of close parking spaces at the grocery store when it is freezing out there.

The other day I was about to leave when I told Clyde I would probably get a parking place in Outer Mongolia.  He asked which grocery store I was going to.  I was going to the one across the river.  He said that was Outer Mongolia.  Ha ha.  I don’t think the people living in that community would agree!

The Bermuda Triangle and I are really getting acquainted.  I am finding things that date back to the beginning of time.  Little by little I will straighten it out and try real hard not to let it turn into a dump again.

I am finally going through everything in my studio.   I have straightened out almost all of the stuff in our house and now it is time to tackle the Bermuda Triangle.  

I get so irritated when I am looking for a record and can’t find it.  I know I can’t get the whole place cleaned up in one day but there is light at the end of the tunnel! 

Maybe, after I am done I can stop calling it the Bermuda Triangle.  I hope so!

I have the strangest dreams.  I guess everyone does.  Many people don’t remember them but I remember some of them very vividly and oftentimes I can figure out why they showed up.

The other night I dreamed we had a pet elephant living in our house.  We kept it in the living room but it wasn’t constrained in any way.

I was worried that it would step on my foot and when I mentioned that to Clyde he wasn’t worried at all.

I know where that one came from.  I watched the great movie, Water for Elephants a few days ago.

When I mentioned the dream to Clyde, he said, “And it wasn’t me?”

Ha ha.  No, Clyde is not the elephant in the room, even with the few pounds he has put on over the years.

I don’t have a lot to say today.  I have my igloo suit on and will soon finish my latest painting.  My studio is the coldest room in the house.  I learned years ago that a thick bathrobe over my clothes is much better than a sweater. 

I would have to turn the heat up much higher than is reasonable if I didn’t wear it.  I don’t know why I am such a cold person but my hands are like ice this time of the year.  Anyway,  I am hardly ever down, just cold.  Time to get to work!

Clyde doesn’t have a funny for me today but I found a site that has some great bird jokes despite the name.  Here is one from Really Bad Bird Jokes.com

Two vultures were in the desert eating a dead clown. The first vulture asks the second vulture: “Does this taste funny to you?”

Clyde is always cheerful.  He has so much to do that he doesn’t get into bad moods.  The only time I see him a little down is when the weather is so bad that he is prevented from getting outside to check on birds and other wildlife. 

It doesn’t matter how cold it is but when there is ice on the roads he doesn’t get out to his favorite spots.  So glad the roads are clear today.

Mondays don’t usually bum me out but I definitely got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.  I think the cold weather is getting me down a little. 

Usually I like the change of seasons and just because I have to wear a heavy bathrobe over my clothes is no reason not to enjoy looking at the pretty snow outside.  I am one of those extremely cold people. 

If I turned up the heat to accommodate me the others would burn up.

Anyway, I didn’t paint when the light was right so now I am mad at myself.  I don’t usually accept any excuses to keep from painting but I did this time.

Oh well, time to cheer up and look forward to spaghetti tonight!

The fat funnies keep on showing up on Facebook and I love to share them with Clyde. 

It seems there is a way to get rid of unwanted fat without any sort of diet or exercise.

On the Dawn Detergent label is this;  “DISSOLVES FAT THAT IS OTHERWISE DIFFICULT TO REMOVE.”

 

Clyde replied, “Does that mean you have to sit in the dishwasher to see if it works?”

The game is on and the guys are having a great time!  I hesitate to say that I don’t like foot ball but it just isn’t for me.  I hope I don’t get hate mail after saying that.  I do like some sports but I would rather dance than try to win anything.  I wanted to go swimming today but my neck is still a little sore so I will hold off until it is completely well.  I don’t want to injure it again.  The Country Line Dancers will be performing on Valentine’s Day!  Looking forward to it!

Clyde has come up with a number of funnies that I know I can not print.  Contrary to what he says I do have some discretion and have no intentions of getting into trouble on a blog.

Anyway a friend posted a real cute funny the other day.

One woman asks a friend how she is doing on her diet.

The friends says not so good, for breakfast she had eggs.

The woman says that does not sound bad.

The friends says they were Cadbury eggs.

Clyde hates eggs but he sure will eat Cadbury ones!

Blue Ridge Parkway Artist

So glad that whatever bug I have isn’t very bad.  Stomach is sore and I have a little congestion but I don’t have to stop.  I want to get to the studio when I finish computer stuff.  I wanted to go swimming this afternoon but I may be contagious so I will stay here.  Plenty to do and I have a great Emile Zola movie for breaks!

Since I am trying to stay away from people I haven’t been goading Clyde for a joke.  But I saw a great one on Facebook that is right up the Bird Man’s alley!

Why do gulls fly over the ocean?  Because if they flew over the bay they would be bagels.
