Today in church the minister was talking about how doctors consider love to be the best medicine and if it is not enough then we should increase the dosage.
I agree but let’s not forget humor! I have always heard that Laughter is a great medicine and I work on finding it every day. I don’t have to look far! There is always something to laugh about!

I am pleased with my first painting in my new series, Skyline Beauty. I have painted many Blue Ridge Mountain Skylines and will continue to paint them but this series gives me a chance to do some creative things with buildings. I have always been fascinated by architecture. It is the slowest artform to change so it is a great art that connects us with our past while we enjoy it every day.

The Word Man is real busy being the Bird Man right now so I haven’t gotten any quips from him lately but we both enjoyed a solution for dieting on Facebook.
The picture is of a plate of food with a fork and knife next to it. The fork and knife are both made with branches with thorns on them.
My back is much better today so I am working away and ranting about the problems associated with technology. I have come very close to hurling my wireless mouse out the window. It keeps cutting off. Lost signal. Sometimes it cuts off a few seconds after the signal is restored.
That’s the first argh.
The second one is about my video software. I figured out how to change the speed of the video but it stops every so often with an announcement that the software is at work modifying it. I don’t know if that grey sign will be there when I export it because for some strange reason it won’t export when I hit export.
Oh well. It is New Years Eve and I should try to celebrate and enjoy the evening. I will do that as soon as I can tear myself away from the machine that helps and aggravates at the same time.
Cheers! Happy New Year!

I have not had any trouble with my back for years until two days ago. I work so hard to stay in shape with exercise, stretching exercises and yoga that I get so mad when it acts up.
When I do too much a muscle just starts to spasm without any reason. I have had it happen when I rolled over in bed. This time a muscle acted up as I turned to get paint off of my palette.
It ain’t easy being a workaholic.
It is getting better and I bet I will be back to my easel tomorrow! Cheers and enjoy your pain free back if you have one!

Lately Clyde has come up with some great jokes about political candidates for president. I wish I could print them but we would like to keep our “Never Been Sued” status. I remember a judge’s words that people can say just about anything about famous people but I don’t want to find out the hard way that there are some things that can’t be said.
Say it, forget it, write it, regret it. I live by that motto.
Anyway, there are a lot of cute weight jokes on Facebook right now. Here is my favorite latest one.
It’s all fun and games until your jeans won’t fit anymore.
Forms, forms, forms! Every time I turn around I have to fill out a medical form which seems like a snap until I take a close look at it. I either have a lot of information to dig up or I am asked questions that don’t seem to make sense about future medical expenses.
I call one office about the questions and they ask me to call another office and that office asks me to call another office. Yikes! It really is a Monday!
Time to get back to art stuff so I can smile! Here is my latest Heart Whimsy painting!

The Word and Bird Man is very busy right now so I haven’t been goading him for funny quips. I’m sure some will turn up soon.
I always like to include humor in my blog. Humor is such an important part of my life so I am going to repeat another great one from Facebook about dieting.
This is from Broken Rail
Diet Day One:
I have removed all the bad food from the house. It was delicious!
Such a beautiful day but I didn’t get a chance to get out and enjoy it. So much to do here and then our church had a great Benefit Concert for Beans and Rice, a wonderful group that helps people out as much as possible.
I wish I had taken pictures of all the terrific musicians but I was too enthralled listening to them, especially Tim Brower! He played a number of great pieces on the organ, including my favorite Bach fugue! I have the music for the piano but the Tocatta and fugue in D Minor sounds best on the organ.

I finally got to paint today and am feeling much better. I always get uptight when I am too busy to paint. Love Christmas but am ready to move on now.
Still having trouble with my camera software. I just put up a painting on Instagram and it looks fuzzy. I know there is a focus button on my software but I can’t seem to find it.
Oh well, technology and I are always going to fight it out. I get it eventually. Looks like we are finally getting some light right now! I hope the clouds go away for a while. Cheers!

I don’t have anything from the Word Man today – at least nothing that I can print but we both got a big laugh out of a Daffy Duck funny on Facebook!
Daffy is at a bar and two large women with accents are sitting across from him. He asks them if they are from Scotland and they say Wales, you idiot. So Daffy says, “Okay, are you two whales from Scotland?” He didn’t remember much after that.
Well, as usual, we made a lot of disparaging remarks about other motorists on our way down to Christmas celebration with relatives. Everybody seems to be in love with our bumper no matter what the speed. Clyde is a careful driver and will go over the speed limit five or seven miles to try to prevent bumper kisses but it never works.
Oh well! We got there without being rear ended and had a great time! Always great to get together with family. All of us are really into yakking and laughing! Hope everyone had a great Christmas today!

I still have a couple of Christmas chores that I will do as soon as I get off the computer. Looking forward to family time tomorrow and taking it easy. Hope everyone has a great Christmas! If you don’t celebrate Christmas, then Happy Holidays! My rear end is getting real sore sitting here so it is time to get going!

Clyde does not like cell phones. He hardly ever has his on and oftentimes doesn’t even take it with him. He pays about seven dollars a month and is required to add at least 60 minutes every three months.
He just added more and now has 1000 minutes on his phone. I told him he could probably call Mars. He said the Martians would probably offer a lot of rocks in exchange for hamburgers. I think I will keep my hamburgers. Rocks from Mars does sound interesting but the only time I am not hungry is right after eating so…no. Keep your rocks, Mars.
I decided to join Tumblr and I really like their sense of humor. After I posted five times I got a cute email. Congratulations on your five posts! After a million you won’t have any feeling in your fingers!
I guess we are all looking forward to computers that we can talk to like in Star Trek. Oh computer, you do all the work and I can just gab away. Do you think we will become hoarse if that happens? I would like to give it a try!
Happy Tuesday!
