As I have said many times, I love to laugh and I try to have something funny on my blog. My father was hilarious and he always ended a conversation with a joke. He knew how to live!
Clyde cracks me up all the time and I depend on him for funnies. I didn’t have anything for today so I called him up and asked him if he had a funny. Not today. He said his hurt knee has kicked his funny bone right off.
Even when he can’t think of anything he comes up with something! Love it! Here is one I saw on the internet that Clyde can relate to.
A doctor is talking to the Gingerbread man about his hurt knee.
Be sure to check out my Special Promotions at the bottom of the blog that end Saturday!
I am real pleased to sell a large print of Color Ripples on The Blue Ridge to a great California patron! The owner of the painting is also in California! Prints will always be available. Click on the link below and look to the right for all the options!

I am still considering all the phobias I have and I mentioned my knee phobia to a friend and she agreed and added hip phobia. At a certain age you realize that exercise and keeping your weight down may not be enough.
Clyde is still recovering from knee surgery and I am worried about my knees. Oh well, to quote a favorite movie, Strictly Ball Room, a life lived in fear is half lived. I wonder if I am even at a quarter lived with all my fears.
Saw a good funny phobia today. I have a phobia of german sausage. Yes, I fear the wurst. Love it!
I am working hard at getting all the files of the illustrations for Fiddling at Midnight’s Farmhouse to the publisher today and tomorrow. I have nineteen illustrations plus the cover and a few of my paintings on my website are going to be used for the book, too. I have some very expressive paintings that Clyde thinks will work well with certain poems. Lots to do but I can see the finish line! YES!!!!!
Please click on my latest Youtube! I will have a new one in the next blog!
I am working away on so many things that I keep getting mixed up and have to tell myself what to do next. I just finished another Youtube so I can get that up soon and I have done a lot of Social Media Marketing but there is always more of that to do. I can’t get to a painting today but I hope to do a few more illustrations for Fiddling at Midnight’s Farmhouse before I send all the files to the publisher next week.
I have a Bridal Shower to go to tomorrow so I will have to try to get one done before that. In a great movie, Mom’s Night Out, the main character has a sign on the inside of her cabinet that says Keep Calm and Mommy on.
I guess I need one that says Keep Calm and Art On.

Commercials, commercials, commercials. I don’t watch a lot of TV but when I do I am overwhelmed with ads. I especially hate the drug ads with their wonderful advice to ask your doctor if the drug is right for you. I never go to the doctor unless I absolutely have to and I let him proscribe the drugs, not TV.
Clyde has a great re-write for the one that claims her loss of energy is restored due to the drug.
Before I started doing these commercial I was poor. Now I am rich and I don’t care who buys the drug.
I am going to try to modify the cover illustration for Fiddling at Midnight’s Farmhouse. The publisher said the only way the painting can be cropped is without part of the moon. I am hoping I can bring it down a little without disrupting the spacing that she has established. I was hoping it would fit perfectly but it doesn’t. She is going to have the entire painting in the book for one of the poems.

I am real pleased with my latest illustration for Fiddling at Midnight’s Farmhouse! I was going to change it and let Clyde decide between the two for the book but now that I have it online I think I will probably just move on to the next one.

Trying to get a few more illustrations done for Fiddling at Midnight’s Farmhouse but I really am getting tired and a little low on ideas. I will check out some more poems today and hopefully get one done today and one tomorrow. I will be glad to get back to my Skyline paintings, Kendall Expressions, and my main work of this beautiful area.

When I started this blog I really didn’t know what to say other than stuff about my artwork which is difficult. I communicate through pictures, not words. After a while I just wanted to have some humor so I started this section of the blog. I thought I would probably burn out and stop trying for funny stuff even though Clyde supplies me with a lot of it without trying. It is just the way he is.
I am pleased that I keep coming up with funnies here. Sometimes I do borrow from other sources but I still keep this section going and I think as long as I have a blog I will keep on laughing as I write.
To cease to learn is to cease to live. Well, to cease to laugh is also to cease to live!
In honor of my main contributor to this section here are some great bird jokes.
What did the chicken say to the duck when it was about to cross the road?
Don’t do it. You will never hear the end of it.
What did one bird with binoculars watching people say to the other bird.
It is a legitimate hobby.
What did the Blue Footed Booby say to his friend about his feet?
Yeah, I wanted black but this is the only color they had that fit.
There sure are a lot of image thieves on the internet. One of my paintings is still on a Hong Kong based site. They are selling canvas prints of it. They have a US office but the lawyers still couldn’t do anything about it. I know of one artist that just doesn’t even do reverse image searches. He would rather ignore the problem. I am not giving up.

Well, I guess it is nice to know my recent uploads of illustrations for Fiddling at Midnight’s Farmhouse are well received. I just filed another infringement case. This time it is for Eye Crater. I hope the lawyers can do something about it. So far several of my paintings have been taken down but there is still one on a Chinese site for sale as prints. Time to send a DMCA notice.
I have hit a slump today and I am determined to stay out of the studio. I am so tired I just want to sleep but I never take naps. I don’t sleep that well as it is and if I take a nap then I will be wide awake tonight. I am getting a lot of computer work done and then I will barricade the studio door so I can’t get in. Sure. That will be the day.
Have a great Saturday everyone!
