Wow!  The ants are marching away in our bathroom. The kitchen still has some but they look like they are just wandering around looking for food or their friends.  I guess toothpaste rules.  Masses and masses in the bathroom.

Anyway, between cleaning up my studio and fighting with ants I managed to finish my latest Blue Ridge Parkway painting and uploaded a video on it.  Be sure to check it out below and see the painting on my website!

Happy Week end!

Life with The Word and Bird Man – Clyde Kessler

Soon we will be looking into moving.  We need to work on this house and find one that will suit us. Could be a year or two but we will move.

As I said before, we will not be down sizing as people tend to do when they retire.  We need more room for all of Clyde’s research and I hope I can get a bigger studio.

Yesterday, I said to Clyde that when we move and have more room we may actually accomplish something we never accomplished with this home.

What’s that?

Clean it up.

Fat chance.  Dream on.

I would greatly appreciate a Google review if you like my work!  Here is the link!

  1. I’ve had ants twice in two weeks! Once was after it rained. I can’t figure out how they’re getting in. They’re getting smarter not leaving a trail!

I have a friend that moved from a city in Southern Calif. to the mountains. They didn’t downsize either. Their house is a 3bdrm 2 bath house with land and she who is an artist too had a huge barn-like structure built on their land which she uses as her studio. She paints on huge canvases. It’s quite an impressive building along with her moveable ladder/easel that her husband built for her. Her paintings are impressive too I might add.

When we moved in April we were in Downsizing mode, but our house is a bit larger than the one we sold in Calif. We did downsize though. I purged a lot of stuff and we lost a bedroom and family room with this move. So even though the square footage is a bit bigger I lost two rooms. I miss the 4th bedroom. That’s where I would dabble in paint, and do my tabletop/studio photography.
I don’t really have space for that now. I’m back to working on the dining room table and a little corner of the kitchen counter.

It’s exciting times ahead for you as you search for your next house! I hope you find it sooner rather than later, but it took us a year to find this house. It was worth the searching. We’re so happy here. I wish you the best of luck with your search, and for having the work done on your current house.

    • They are awful! We just can’t get rid of them. Sounds like your friend and you found great homes but it is too bad you no longer have a 4th bedroom. We will be starting soon to look and work on this one. Too much to do all the time! Oh well, better than not enough to do. Have a great evening and be sure to get to some artwork when you can!
