I usually really get into plans for the New Year that I keep for a quite a while but this year I am dragging. I am going to try to get it together and look forward to all the great things that are going to happen and ignore the bad things as much as possible. There is always a painting in my future!
There is an uplifting song about finding that one song that lasts your whole life long. I found that song a long time ago along with a lot of daily clean up. Some people say artists are congenital slobs. I am a frustrated slob because I hate to have a mess around me but I don’t have time to paint and clean up so I just look the other way until it is so bad I can’t work.
Here’s to the New Year and being able to walk in my studio!

Well, we took the Bluebaru for its first check up. Since our new car is blue and is a subaru, Clyde gave it the name, Bluebaru. I like it! Wow, oil changes now cost about $80! I don’t think the car was sick in any way but the dealership sent us a notice it was time for a check up.
Maybe they wanted to give it some vaccinations so it won’t get sick. Whatever it takes to keep the Bluebaru going and to keep our bank account a bank account with money in it.
If you like my work but don’t have any more room on your walls be sure to check out my paintings on just about anything but the kitchen sink on
Happy New Year – may it be filled with peace, good health and much creativity. Janet 🙂
